A forward-thinking and culturally diverse educational institution provides a quality educational experience for students. The Learning Enhancement and Program Support (LEAPS) Department offers learning enrichment and support for a wide range of students, ensuring every student can access and participate in education alongside their peers.
The Support Program of Applied Readiness for Community (SPARC) program sits within the LEAPS department. This individualised program is designed for students who have significant social and academic challenges within the mainstream classroom. We are seeking a part-time Special Education (SPARC) Program Coordinator to lead this program.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the organisation, oversight, coordination, and management of the SPARC and Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) programs. They will need to embody compassion, patience, and creativity, and be organised and flexible to ensure success in their role. Key responsibilities include advocating for students who require additional support, supporting teachers and Learning Support staff, and helping families feel heard and connected to their child's education.
- A qualified teacher and hold a current registration with the relevant teaching authority or
- Someone with an alternatively suitable background with significant experience in disability, schools with strong coordination capability.
