Operational Risk Governance Specialist

This role is responsible for embedding the Operational Risk Management Framework within Financial Services. We are accountable for Group Finance operational risk governance, risk identification and mitigation, central compliance monitoring and analysis, escalation, reporting and training.

The impact and contribution of this role includes:

  • Driving a strong risk culture and awareness within Group Finance, and proactively managing the risks, controls, incidents and issues in the profile.
  • Providing guidance and advice to senior leaders on the application of risk related matters.

Key responsibilities include ensuring risks are profiled and captured in the Group Finance Business Profile, managing control development, assessments, testing and scheduling, and overseeing root cause analysis of issues and incidents.

We're interested in hearing from individuals with experience in financial services line 1 operational risk or audit roles, Chartered Accountant (CA) Qualification, and sound understanding and demonstrated competence of risk and compliance management policies and frameworks.
