  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing payroll team to achieve operational excellence.
  • Manage end-to-end payroll operations for over 3,000 employees across multiple entities, jurisdictions, and systems spanning Australia, New Zealand, and the broader APAC region.
  • Ensure payroll processing is accurate, compliant, and timely for a diverse, multi-jurisdictional workforce.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and business leaders to align payroll with organisational goals, resolve escalations, and improve service delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvements through service optimisation, process automation, standardisation, SOP development, and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead payroll integration projects for acquired entities, driving harmonisation and standardisation of payroll processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Modern Awards, EBAs, NES, and relevant jurisdictional requirements.
  • Oversee statutory reporting, reconciliations, and year-end processes, including Workcover, payroll tax, and employee share statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Key Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience managing payroll in multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional environments.
  • Deep knowledge of Australian, New Zealand, and APAC payroll legislation and compliance.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage both in-house and outsourced payroll services.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems and advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Experience with expatriate payroll and international compliance desirable.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Payroll, Finance, or Business preferred.
  • Certified Payroll Professional accreditation advantageous.
