About the Role

The organization seeks a seasoned Financial Manager to oversee its day-to-day finance operations, driving improvements in financial reporting, compliance, and controls. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this key leadership role is responsible for managing financial and management reporting across multiple entities, ensuring statutory and tax compliance, and partnering with operational leaders to deliver commercial insights and drive performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive monthly and annual financial reports, including consolidated group-level reports;
  • Lead the development and implementation of management reporting processes and asset reporting across operating entities;
  • Formalize and embed group-wide reporting frameworks;
  • Oversee compliance obligations, including BAS, payroll tax, FBT, TPAR, ABS surveys, and audit processes;
  • Manage group payroll operations, including review of superannuation, deductions, and industry-specific reporting;
  • Coordinate insurance renewals, IT oversight, and internal control reviews;
  • Provide commercial support on project feasibilities, supply contracts, and operational performance; and
  • Maintain relationships with external stakeholders and serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders across the business.
About You

We are seeking a qualified professional with a strong technical foundation in accounting, reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in a privately owned, multi-entity business, preferably in the construction, agriculture, or property sectors. A proven ability to lead a small team and drive process improvement is essential, along with strong commercial acumen and the confidence to liaise with operational leaders and the Board.
