Senior Payroll Officer Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years of experience in a similar role, with a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. They will be able to work effectively within a team, manage their time efficiently, and meet deadlines.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • End-to-end payroll processing, including fortnightly pay runs and monthly reporting.
  • Weekly and month-end payroll reporting.
  • Processing employee expense claims.
  • Bank reconciliations and superannuation calculations.
  • Interpreting complex awards and employment agreements.
  • Managing timesheets and ensuring payroll compliance.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and resolving queries promptly.

About You:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar payroll role.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with HRIS and time & attendance systems is desirable.
