Federal Government Policy Specialist

As an APS5 Policy Officer, you will be responsible for capturing the CEO's voice for external stakeholders and ensuring a consistent narrative through policy oversight.
This role involves writing and reviewing briefs, reports, submissions and correspondence that support the policies and commitments of the Government. You will also provide accurate advice to the CEO on complex issues to position the team as a trusted partner for the Prime Minister, Ministers, their staff and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have previous experience within the Federal Government and in a similar position. They will require highly developed communication skills both written and verbal to foster effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
The ability to handle multiple complex issues and meet deadlines is essential, as well as being self-motivated, adaptable and able to operate flexibly under limited supervision.
