Director, Major Infrastructure Projects

Overview of the Role:

The Director, Major Infrastructure Projects plays a pivotal role in leading the Regulatory Operations Group's service delivery arm. This high-impact position oversees the design, delivery, and review of programs targeting major infrastructure projects.

With a keen focus on proactive monitoring and compliance activities, the team administers the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (WHS) through prevention, assurance, and enforcement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining an extensive understanding of Comcare's strategic objectives, operational outcomes, and agency impacts on the wider political and community context.

Proactive risk management is also a critical aspect of this role, involving the identification and escalation of strategic, emerging, and operational risks, as well as providing high-level advice and briefings to stakeholders.

Furthermore, this position entails engaging productively with stakeholders to progress continuous improvement and compliance outcomes.

As a seasoned leader, the Director will provide strategic direction and guidance to employees in relation to complex regulatory matters, manage employee performance and development, and contribute to the design and implementation of regulatory strategies.

Delivering, managing, and evaluating complex programs, projects, and initiatives is also a key responsibility, focusing on achieving outcomes and driving continuous improvement and change.
