Community Support Role

We are seeking an individual to fill a key role in our team, working closely with clients with disabilities to provide high-quality support and care. As a Community Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing assistance with daily living tasks, promoting independence and encouraging participation in community activities.

The Key Responsibilities of this Role Include:
  • Providing Personal Care: Assisting clients with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing and grooming;
  • Supporting Daily Living Tasks: Helping clients with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, medication management and household chores;
  • Encouraging Independence: Promoting clients' independence by assisting them to develop and maintain life skills and interests;
  • Transporting Clients: Safely transporting clients to appointments, programs and other activities;
  • Recording Information: Accurately recording client information, progress and any concerns or issues that arise;
  • Collaborating with Other Professionals: Working collaboratively with other professionals, including healthcare providers, social workers and therapists to ensure clients receive comprehensive support and care.
Requirements for the Role:
  • Experience Working with Clients with Disabilities;
  • Ability to Provide Personal Care and Assist with Daily Living Tasks;
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills;
  • Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team;
  • Flexibility and Adaptability; and
  • Willingness to Participate in Ongoing Training and Professional Development.
