Launch Your Underground Diamond Drilling Career

We are seeking entry-level applications for Underground Diamond Driller's Assistants to assist our experienced drillers in retrieving core and maintaining equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive work environment where you will be responsible for handling inner tubes, repetitive heavy lifting, housekeeping and maintenance of all equipment, and identifying potential hazards.

You will be required to have a current Australian manual driver's licence, national police clearance, clear ability to speak, read and write in fluent English, a proactive attitude towards safety and hazard identification, ability to perform shift work and be away from home for two weeks at a time, mechanically minded and excellent problem-solving skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handling inner tubes to retrieve core and empty into core trays.
  • Repetitive heavy lifting of over 20kgs.
  • Housekeeping and maintenance of all equipment ensuring all workspaces are clean including washing the LV at end of shift.
  • Identify and rectify potential hazards and communicate immediately to the Driller or Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current Australian manual driver's licence.
  • National Police Clearance within 3 months of issue.
  • Clear ability to speak read write in fluent English.
  • A proactive attitude toward safety and hazard identification.
  • Ability to perform shift work and be away from home for two weeks at a time.
  • Mechanically minded and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to complete a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol screen.
  • A positive work ethic in line with company vision and principles.
  • Availability to attend the assessment centre for selection process.

Highly Desirable:

  • Working at Heights Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Previous experience in labour-intensive physical roles.
  • Previous experience assisting exploration drilling operations.
