Driller Position

The role of a driller is crucial in our underground operations, responsible for executing long hole activities to maintain smooth and safe mining processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting precise long hole drilling using mechanised equipment, adhering to design specifications with attention to detail.
  • Interpreting and following mine plans confidently—drilling to line, gradient, and profile with precision.
  • Setting up and troubleshooting long hole drill rigs to ensure seamless and safe operation.
  • Completing thorough pre-start checks and ensuring all equipment is safe and operational.
  • Collaborating with the shift supervisor and previous crew to stay informed and aligned on the work area and daily priorities.

Requirements:

  • Residency in the Parkes area or willingness to relocate to this thriving regional community.
  • At least 12 months of experience in a similar underground role.
  • Experience operating Epiroc E7 rigs highly valued.
  • Certification to work at heights and security clearance to handle explosives, or ability to obtain this qualification.
  • A strong commitment to safety—it's how you approach your work.
  • A current C Class Australian Manual Driver's Licence.
