Family Group Conference Coordinator

The Family Group Conference Convenor will play a pivotal role in supporting vulnerable families to make informed decisions and develop plans for the care and safety of their children.
About the Role- Convene family group conferences to facilitate family-led decision-making and plan development.
- Work closely with vulnerable families, service providers, and professionals to improve outcomes for children known to the Child Protection Program.
- Implement and oversee the Family Group Conference model pilot, focusing on service improvement and review.
- Plan, prepare for, and convene family group conferences to support family-led decision-making and plan development.
- Collaborate with vulnerable families, service providers, and professionals to strengthen engagement with services and reduce further child protection involvement.
- Play a critical role in the implementation and oversight of the Family Group Conference model pilot.
- Specific responsibility for working with vulnerable families, service providers, and professionals to improve outcomes for children known to the Child Protection Program.
- Ensure timely responses to tasks and contribute to various work priorities within the unit.
- Ability to operate outside normal office hours, if required.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills.
- Developed policy and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to be responsive to tasks and provide timely responses.
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
- Valid work permit or visa.
- Successful completion of pre-employment screening, including a national police check and misconduct screening.
$85,000 - $95,000 per annum, plus superannuation and other benefits.
