Job Overview

The Warranty Management Professional plays a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and availability of rolling stock, balancing technical problem-solving with strategic leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead warranty management processes to meet reliability and availability milestones.
  • Mentor and develop a team of two direct reports to ensure successful delivery of project and team goals.
  • Oversee commercial contract management to ensure compliance, risk mitigation, and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Represent the company in customer-facing interactions to foster strong relationships and resolve issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
  • Drive influence in problem-solving and product development through root cause analysis and sustainable solutions.
  • Utilize ERP systems (SAP preferred) to monitor warranty claims and optimize process efficiency.
About You
  • Proven experience in the rolling stock industry, specifically in warranty, maintenance, or operational support.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring team members.
  • Expertise in customer-facing roles, including account and supplier management.
  • Experience in risk assessment, mitigation, and execution of commercial contracts.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) to manage contracts, track performance, and identify issues.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills to foster collaboration and team success.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities that drive positive outcomes.
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Resilience and adaptability to navigate challenges and balance competing priorities.
Education

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related technical field are preferred or equivalent industry experience is considered.
