Job Summary

As a warranty manager, you will strike a balance between technical problem-solving and strategic leadership, ensuring warranty commitments are fulfilled and commercial targets achieved.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead warranty management processes to guarantee reliability and availability milestones are met.
  • Support and develop a team of direct reports, providing guidance to ensure successful delivery of project and team objectives.
  • Oversee steady-state commercial contract management, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Represent the organization in customer-facing interactions, fostering strong relationships and proactive issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
  • Drive influence in problem-solving and product development by employing root cause analysis and sustainable solutions.
  • Utilize enterprise resource planning systems (ERP) to monitor warranty claims and ensure process efficiency.
About You
  • Proven experience in the rolling stock industry, specifically in warranty, maintenance, or operational support.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring team members.
  • Expertise in customer-facing roles, including account and supplier management.
  • Experience in risk assessment, mitigation, and execution of commercial contracts.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems to manage contracts, track performance, and identify issues.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills to foster collaboration and team success.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities that influence positive outcomes.
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Resilience and adaptability to navigate challenges and balance competing priorities.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related technical field or equivalent industry experience.
