Job Overview

The role of the ADF Rehabilitation Consultant is to support military personnel who have sustained a physical and/or psychological injury.

A unique opportunity to apply your clinical reasoning and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our military personnel.

You will work alongside experts in workplace health, injury management and safety to help clients return to work and life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Taking a holistic care approach, collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement rehabilitation plans.
  • Perform assessments and evaluations to determine the best course of action for each client.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehab to healing.

KPIs are based on service delivery outcomes, not billable hours. The role emphasizes genuine person-centred focus and goal setting.

Enjoy a balanced work schedule with no overtime or outside-hours work. Typical schedule: Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 4pm and Friday 7:30am – 1:30pm.

Requirements
  • Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC or AASW).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy or Social Work.
  • Australian Citizenship.
  • Strong clinical reasoning.
  • Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support a common goal.
  • Passion to help people rehabilitate.
  • Occupational rehabilitation experience will be highly regarded.
