Rehabilitation Expert Role

This position involves delivering rehabilitation support to military personnel who have suffered physical and/or psychological injuries.

We are seeking a skilled professional to work closely with clients to develop and implement tailored rehabilitation plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working holistically, collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to support the recovery process from rehab to healing
  • Perform a variety of assessments depending on your area of clinical expertise. This could include functional capacity evaluations, workplace or activities of daily living assessments
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including the employee who has suffered injury, illness or trauma, medical specialists, other treatment providers and allied health professionals
  • Develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation plans

Service delivery outcomes will be based on key performance indicators. The role emphasizes genuine person-centred focus and goal setting. Set working hours to promote work/life balance with no overtime or outside-hours work.

As part of our team, you will be supported and mentored through direct interaction and an extensive onboarding process (including ongoing shadowing) to build your technical knowledge and set you up for success.

Requirements
  • Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy or Social Work
  • Australian Citizenship
  • Strong clinical reasoning
  • Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support a common goal
  • Passion to help people rehabilitate
  • Occupational rehabilitation experience will be highly regarded
