Job Description

The Program Development Specialist will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Cultural Safety project, working closely with the Program Manager to ensure successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake project management activities, including project planning, documentation, monitoring, and reporting on progress.
  • Support procurement and contract management, including financial administration and budget preparation.
  • Draft, edit, and collate meeting papers, submissions, correspondence, and briefing notes.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver projects and initiatives.
  • Research, review, and analyze data, reports, and published material to provide information and advice.
  • Work independently to identify key actions required for effective team operation.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders under the guidance of the Program Manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management and organisational skills.
  • Sound judgement in identifying issues and appropriate solutions.
  • Understanding of government processes and knowledge of the Australian healthcare system.
  • Knowledge of issues regarding safety and quality in health care, including those related to First Nations peoples and their communities.
