With our continued growth across New South Wales, and the recent establishment of our Sydney office, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and suitably qualified Principal level Environmental Approvals Specialist to join our growing Sydney team.
In this role, you will undertake a variety of environmental approvals projects, working closely with the existing environmental management, approvals, and compliance (EMAC) team and also with our team of ecological, contaminated land, and ecological specialists. The market sectors we operate across are diverse and comprise a range of private and public sector clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Impact Assessment and Approvals in NSW.
- Ensure Production of High-Quality Technical Reports.
- Coordinate Client, Project Teams, and Specialist Sub-Consultants.
- Provide Direction to Junior Staff for Delivering Projects On-Time and Within Budget.
- Lead Proposals and Develop Project Strategies.
- Participate in Business Development Activities and Grow New Approvals Clients.
- Represent Our Organization at Industry Forums and Maintain Professional Membership.
- Work Competently and Safely by Complying with Relevant WHS Requirements.
We seek a professional with demonstrated experience in the technical delivery of various environmental impact assessment projects across a range of market sectors including renewable energy, infrastructure, transport, mining, aggregates, urban development, education, and health. Applicants should possess an in-depth knowledge and practical application of NSW Planning and Assessment legislation and be experienced in coordinating sub-consultants and managing projects through the approval process. Experience in environmental compliance, management plans, and reporting would be considered favorably.
