Child Development Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and passionate individual to join our team as a Child Development Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with young children aged 1-5 years, supporting their emotional, social, and cognitive development.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional early learning experiences, inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. They will assist the Room Leader in creating engaging and inquiry-based programs that cater to the developmental needs of children.

Responsibilities include maintaining comprehensive documentation of each child's progress, conducting observations and assessments, and planning for small groups of children. The ideal candidate will also foster meaningful relationships with families, providing regular updates and involving them in their child's learning journey.

This is a casual position, requiring the educator to be available 2-5 days per week. We value adaptability and openness to continuous professional development, staying updated on best practices in early childhood education.

  • Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or actively working towards these qualifications.
  • Applicants must be ACECQA approved.
  • Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) or the ability to obtain one.
