About the Role:

  • Key Responsibilities: Prepare, reconcile, and analyze management accounting statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Perform accounting system reviews to identify areas of improvement and efficiency for clients. Assist in implementing improvements identified where possible.
  • Preparation of three-way forecast models to set short- and long-term financial goals, including development of key business drivers that integrate with those forecast models.
  • Assistance in measuring performance against these targets on a regular basis.
  • Perform meetings with clients presenting key outcomes and actions from analysis work performed.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their unique needs and providing proactive solutions.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to foster their professional development.
  • Analyze complex financial issues, identify potential risks, and develop effective solutions.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ideal experience: 3+ years as an accountant in Business Advisory.
  • Undergraduate qualifications.
  • Studying or completed CA or CPA qualification.
  • Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, Tax Law, and Superannuation Law.
  • Proven experience in business advisory and financial analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Desired: Knowledge of cloud-based accounting software and data analytics tools.

Benefits Package:

  • $80,000 - $120,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
