Position Summary :

The Financial Leadership and Strategy Specialist will provide strategic financial leadership to the organization, driving financial growth and improvement through innovative approaches and best practices. This role is responsible for overseeing the overall finance functions of the organization, including management reporting, audit support, budgeting, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll.

Key Requirements :

  • Proven experience as a Financial Manager
  • Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
  • Proficient user of finance software
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong financial reporting and tax experience
  • A thorough understanding of financial governance practices
  • Able to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are followed
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations

Job Responsibility :

This role is responsible for:

  • Providing financial reports and interpreting financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action
  • Ensuring timely completion of monthly payroll documents and compliance with all statutory requirements
  • Completing BAS reconciliation and other taxation obligations
  • Advising on investment activities and providing strategies for the company
  • Maintaining the financial health of the organization
  • Analyzing costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company's actual performance compared to business plans
  • Developing trends and projections for the firm's finances
  • Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
  • Overseeing operations of the finance department, setting goals and objectives, and designing a framework for these to be met
  • Managing the preparation of the company's budget
  • Liaising with auditors to ensure proper monitoring of company finances
  • Assisting in determining the company's capital structure
  • Arranging for equity and debt financing
  • Recommending dividend issuance based on historical patterns and expected cash flows
  • Reviewing company bottlenecks and recommending changes to improve throughput
  • Participating in target costing activities to create products meeting predetermined prices
  • Assisting in determining product pricing in relation to features offered and competitor pricing
  • Compiling key business metrics and reporting to management
  • Managing the capital budgeting process using constraint analysis and discounted cash flow analysis
  • Creating additional analyses and reports as requested by management
