Ground Operations Manager Role

Our airport operations are the heart of our business, where people connect with the spirit of Australia. This involves interacting with our team members, watching aircraft take off and land, and ensuring a smooth day-of-operation.

As a Ground Operations Manager, you will support partners in delivering objectives for ground operations across ramp, baggage, and fleet functions in domestic and international airports. You will drive safe performance, oversee ground handler activity to standards, support successful aircraft movements, and implement strategic change initiatives through engagement with suppliers.

This role requires:

  • Relationship building with internal and external stakeholders
  • Leadership experience in an operationally driven environment
  • Knowledge of receipt and dispatch processes, resourcing requirements, and loading needs for passenger and freight aircraft
  • Understanding of airport systems and excellent communication skills
  • Operational focus with the ability to assess decision impact on business outcomes
  • Supplier management expertise to enable performance delivery and accountability
  • Self-starting approach with high resilience and a passion for continuous improvement
  • Eligibility for an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) and Airside Driving Authority
