Nurse Unit Manager

Overview:

The position of Nurse Unit Manager is a key role in the healthcare team. As a leader, you will be responsible for managing a ward within our organization and ensuring that patients receive high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct patient care teams
  • Ensure safe and efficient nursing practice
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care teams
  • Manage business and management functions

You will demonstrate capability through your attitude, skills, behavior, and attributes, including broad nursing experience and knowledge, understanding of patient-centered care, professional integrity, and ethical conduct.

Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Relevant management qualification or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge and experience in management and delivery of healthcare services
  • Proven ability in innovative clinical service delivery, harm minimization, and practice development
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to engage, enable, and manage teams
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture and articulate a vision for nursing services
  • Recent clinical experience in Rehabilitation and/or Acute Aged Care Nursing
