As an educator with TAFE Queensland, your focus will be on achieving impactful delivery outcomes and enhancing student experiences in technical trades training within Engineering and Automotive. Your technical expertise will contribute to the development of innovative delivery solutions tailored to client needs while staying attuned to evolving market demands and industry trends. Your role will be crucial in helping students from diverse backgrounds advance their careers upon completing their training.

Minimum Requirements:

To qualify as a TAFE Queensland educator, candidates must possess one of the following training and assessment credentials:

  • TAE40122 or TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
  • TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools;
  • TAE Diploma of Vocational Education and Training;
  • TAE Diploma of Training Design and Development;
  • Higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).

Note: Proof of qualifications and industry experience will be required during the interview process.

Additional Mandatory Requirements:

Possession of relevant formal vocational qualifications (minimum Certificate III, Australian equivalent):

  • MEM40119 – Certificate IV in Engineering; and/or
  • MEM50119 – Diploma of Engineering – Advanced Trade;

Additionally, candidates must demonstrate a broad range of current industry skills and experience.

Salary:

Casual: $108.10 gross per hour (TAFE Queensland Educators' Certified Agreement 2023)

Teacher: $100,232.42 gross per annum (TAFE Queensland Educators' Certified Agreement 2023)
