As an educator at TAFE Queensland, your focus will be on achieving impactful educational outcomes and enhancing student experiences in technical trades training, specifically in Engineering and Automotive. Minimum QualificationsTo qualify as a teacher at TAFE Queensland, candidates must possess one of the following training and assessment credentials:
- TAE40122 or TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
- TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools;
- TAE Diploma of Vocational Education and Training;
- TAE Diploma of Training Design and Development;
- Higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).
Note: Proof of qualifications and relevant industry experience will be required during the interview process.
Additional RequirementsPossession of relevant formal vocational qualifications (minimum Certificate III, Australian equivalent):
- MEM40119 – Certificate IV in Engineering; and/or
- MEM50119 – Diploma of Engineering – Advanced Trade;
Additionally, candidates must demonstrate a broad range of current industry skills and experience.

Compensation and BenefitsCasual Rate: $108.10 gross per hour
Teacher Salary: $100,232.42 gross per annum
Benefits Include:
- 12.75% superannuation
- 17.5% leave loading
- 4 weeks of Recreation Leave (accrued annually)
- 5 weeks of Non-Attendance Time (NAT) programmed annually for preparation

- Potential for paid overtime arrangements based on operational requirements

- Competitive Remuneration Allowance may be available to align your remuneration with industry standards (case by case).
