In your role as an educator, you will focus on achieving impactful outcomes and enhancing student experiences in technical trades training. Minimum Qualifications

To qualify for a teaching position at TAFE Queensland, candidates must possess one of the following training and assessment credentials:

  • TAE40122 or TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
  • TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment along with TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools;
  • TAE Diploma of Vocational Education and Training;
  • TAE Diploma of Training Design and Development;
  • Higher-level qualification in adult education approved by TAFE Queensland.

Note: Proof of qualifications and relevant industry experience will be required during the interview process.

Additional Requirements

Possession of relevant formal vocational qualifications (minimum Certificate III, Australian equivalent) is necessary:

  • MEM40119 – Certificate IV in Engineering; and/or
  • MEM50119 – Diploma of Engineering – Advanced Trade;

Demonstrating a broad range of current industry skills and experience is essential. Candidates lacking the specified training and assessment credentials are encouraged to express their interest, as pathways to qualification may be available.

Compensation and Benefits

Casual Rate: $108.10 gross per hour

Teacher Salary: $100,232.42 gross per annum

  • 5 weeks of Non-Attendance Time (NAT) for preparation
