Residential Care Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Officer to join our team.

Oasis Services Australia is a registered NDIS provider based in Victoria, committed to delivering high-quality care services that empower individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate client needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Foster independence and self-advocacy skills in clients.
  • Support clients to participate in community activities and promote social inclusion.
  • Implement client-centered programs and provide personal care services under supervision.
  • Develop and implement resident care plans or assist with meal preparation under supervision.
  • Perform tasks within established work practices and procedures relevant to the work area.
  • Create individual support plans for clients.
  • Assist clients to manage their behavior through Behavior Support and Management Plans.
  • Achieve specific outcomes as defined by management.
  • Respond to client inquiries and concerns.
  • Support senior employees with special projects.
  • Provide attendant care in home, day center, or community settings.

Qualifications and Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services, or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of one year's experience working in a similar disability or aged care role.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Understanding of duty of care and person-centered approaches.
