Hotel Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Operations Manager to oversee the daily management of our hotel in Armidale, NSW. The role involves managing front desk services; supervising and rostering staff; maintaining high guest satisfaction; monitoring performance metrics; liaising with suppliers; and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of the hotel's operations, serving as the primary point of contact for guests, staff, and suppliers.
  • Ensure smooth check-in/check-out processes.
  • Manage reservations and guest relations.
  • Supervise and train staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Handle expenses and supplier relationships.
  • Maintain property presentation and compliance.
  • Manage opening and closing duties, ensuring daily operational readiness and secure nightly shutdowns.
  • Ensure and provide guests with up-to-date local tourism information, and coordinate tour bookings and transportation arrangements.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years experience in hotel operations, night auditing, or a similar role within hotel management.
  • Strong leadership and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of hospitality, front office, housekeeping, and reservations systems.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a friendly, service-oriented attitude are essential in this role.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends/public holidays.
