Corporate Governance Professional

The role of the Assistant Company Secretary (Subsidiaries) is a governance leader within the team with overall corporate administration accountability.

This involves managing a busy schedule of meetings, maintaining statutory registers, submitting all corporate-related ASIC lodgments, and facilitating periodic corporate activities.

The role provides support to the Corporate Secretary, Directors, and Executive Group members in a mid-level position within a busy and complex secretariat.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage board meeting matters and coordinate corporate administration.
  • Drive project management and quality management initiatives.
  • Lead process and system development, enhancement, and training efforts.
  • Support other Secretariat ad hoc duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Laws or related Bachelor qualifications in a legal/business discipline.
  • Membership in the Governance Institute of Australia.
  • Recent experience as an assistant company secretary or company secretary, preferably in a financial services firm.
  • Corporations law, ASIC Regulations, and meeting administration experience.
  • Technical acumen and proactive attitude towards continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances and manage competing priorities.
