Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Risk Manager to join our Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions team. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our business within Marsh and externally.

About the Role

In this position, you will lead insurance due diligence engagements for private equity, corporate, and financial institution clients. You will work closely with clients across the lifecycle of their investments, advising on risks and insurance matters from acquisition to exit. This includes placing portfolio level insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the growth of the Marsh brand in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality due diligence reports.
  • Coordinate services provided by other practices within Marsh.
  • Mentor and coach junior staff members.
  • Act as a liaison to overseas professionals, collaborating globally.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including private equity firms, law firms, accounting firms, investment banks, and financial institutions.
  • Respond to RFPs and stay up-to-date on changing risk and insurance market conditions.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in insurance broking and account management for corporate and/or global accounts.
  • Prior experience in a Due Diligence role or demonstrated expertise with clients considering M&A in an insurance broking context.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Strong data analysis, research, report writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
