Job Description:

The Senior Manager Business Credit role at Bank of Queensland is a key position in the company's growth strategy. We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our credit management team and drive business objectives.

About the Role:

  • Analyse, assess, structure, and make decisions on BOQ Business SME and Middle Market Commercial submissions.
  • Exercise Delegated Approval Authority (DAA) or present submissions to relevant DAA holders, ensuring credit risk is managed to the highest standard and pricing aligns with terms and risk involved.
  • Play a crucial role throughout the loan's lifecycle, ensuring loan documentation accurately reflects all approval conditions, conducting periodic reviews to maintain appropriate risk ratings, and taking necessary remedial actions to keep the Bank's exposure within its risk appetite.
  • Cochrane and mentor others, fostering a best-practice risk culture across the organisation.

About You:

  • You have relevant experience in a similar role, bringing a wealth of knowledge in credit risk.
  • Your strong customer focus shines through in every interaction, whether with internal teams or external clients.
  • You've wielded credit approval authority at a major financial institution, showcasing your ability to read, understand, and analyse financial statements and corporate structures with ease.
  • You're a master at considering a broad range of factors when structuring and decisioning proposals.
  • Your expertise spans assessing creditworthiness, identifying and mitigating risks, evaluating cash flow adequacy, and understanding property valuation principles.
  • You possess exceptional communication skills, enabling you to write compelling reports, address meetings confidently, and facilitate engaging group discussions.

Salary:

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
