**Job Summary**: We are seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our culinary team. This is a fast-paced and dynamic role that requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Line Cook who can prepare food to exact specifications and standards while setting up stations for the menu. As a line chef, you will take ownership of your section, guiding junior chefs and having a good understanding of all the sections in the kitchen, working under the direction of the Head Chef and Sous Chef.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of quality, service, presentation, and cleanliness in the kitchen
  • Develop and guide junior chefs to ensure they meet company standards
  • Work effectively with the FOH staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Ensure all Kitchen Staff are trained and working in accordance with the Light Years Standard & Food safety program
  • Achieve high scores in all inspections and audits

Requirements:

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high volume venue (essential)
  • Positive approach to other team members and FOH staff
  • Experience with Asian ingredients preferred but not essential
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Ability to operate well under pressure
  • Cook and prepare dishes as per company specifications
  • Maintain food and hygiene standards
  • Be able to follow recipes and specs to a company standard
