Job Title: Kitchen Specialist

Role Overview

To excel in this dynamic role, you will be responsible for preparing food to exact specifications and standards. This includes setting up kitchen stations, guiding junior chefs, and working under the direction of senior culinary staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain high kitchen standards of quality, service, presentation, and cleanliness.
  • Develop and guide junior chefs to achieve company standards.
  • Ensure all kitchen staff are trained and adhering to the Light Years Standard and Food Safety program.
  • Work towards achieving excellent scores in all inspections and audits.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to drive restaurant success.
Requirements
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-volume kitchens.
  • Positive attitude towards colleagues and front-of-house staff.
  • Knowledge of Asian ingredients is a plus but not essential.
  • Punctuality and reliability are must-haves.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Familiarity with recipes and specs to a company standard.
