Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Advisor to join our organization.

As an EHS Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our employees, customers, and the environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise management on environmental health and safety matters
  • Provide expertise in compliance, ergonomics, electrical and machine safety, confined spaces, and lock-out/tag-out
  • Investigate incidents/injuries and present findings to relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure environmental compliance (e.g. air, stormwater, hazardous materials, spill prevention)
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and training to maintain compliance
  • Manage injury reporting and return-to-work programs
  • Oversee safety systems (fire, egress, security, parking) and emergency response
  • Approve new chemicals, equipment, and processes
  • Track safety metrics and support capital project reviews
Requirements

You will come with a degree in an EHS related discipline and WHS qualifications (Cert IV or above desirable). Excellent communication skills will see you partner with internal and external stakeholders effectively.

  • Experience from an industrial manufacturing environment is paramount
  • Experience overseeing or implementing a Formal Safety Management System, Hazard Prevention & Controls System and ISO 14001 & 45001 management
