Occupational Health and Safety Leader

Ambulance Victoria seeks a highly skilled leader to manage its Occupational Health and Safety Management System. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with ISO 45001 standards, leading various impactful health and safety projects and initiatives that support the organization's broader strategy.

This is a Full Time, Permanent position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at the headquarters in line with our hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of diverse Health & Safety projects and initiatives
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, processes, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Advise key stakeholders on complex OHS matters and provide guidance on best practices
  • Prepare reports on health and safety performance measures and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualification or relevant industry certification (or be actively working toward one)
  • Extensive experience in managing OHS risks in a complex and highly regulated organization
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications

Desirable skills include Certification as an Internal/Lead Auditor for ISO 45001 and experience in developing training, projects, or equivalent.
