First Nations Strategy Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team in Brisbane. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small and dynamic team focused on embedding First Nations participation and perspectives across the organisation.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing and supporting the First Nations Strategy team, including developing work plans to deliver strategic priorities and programs of work.
  • Developing, leading and implementing strategies and projects, facilitating collaboration across QSA to achieve quality outcomes.
  • Preparing meeting papers for distribution to QSA's First Nations Advisory Group and supporting the Director First Nations Strategy and Queensland State Archivist in undertaking actions items.
  • Developing key documentation, including strategy and engagement plans, to support the teams objectives and priorities.
  • Coordinating and reporting on the collection, analysis, and reporting of key statistics and responses to requests for advice and information.
  • Researching and preparing complex reports, ministerial correspondence, submissions, briefing notes and correspondence on a range of corporate issues.
  • Representing QSA on committee and working groups and providing advice related to First Nations Strategy program of work.
  • Building and maintaining networks and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
