We are seeking a committed Indigenous Case Worker / Mentor to support our Public Intoxication Program in the Sunshine Coast and Gympie regions.
About Us Five Bridges is a not-for-profit organisation working hands-on with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Our programs provide culturally safe support across justice, employment, and wellbeing.
We're a community-led organisation committed to holistic and practical outcomes.
About the Role The Public Intoxication Program supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals impacted by alcohol misuse and incarceration risk.
You'll deliver culturally responsive, mobile and centre-based case management with a focus on harm reduction, goal setting, and community reintegration.
Key responsibilities include: Provide intensive case management and mentoring Support participants with holistic wellbeing plans Facilitate alcohol education and advocacy Attend court sittings and liaise with justice stakeholders Build strong networks with service providers across the region Deliver culturally grounded support that restores dignity and connection About You We're looking for someone who: Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (essential) Holds a Certificate III in Community Services or related field Has lived experience or experience working in community Understands intergenerational trauma, AOD, and justice involvement Has a valid driver's licence, reliable vehicle, and Blue Card Additional qualifications in mental health and AOD will be highly regarded.
