Job Summary

We are seeking an Indigenous Community Support Specialist to work with our Training team and Cultural Consultant to engage and support our Indigenous partner organisations during training events.

The selected candidate will provide cultural support to participants, facilitate effective training outcomes, communicate and build relationships with participants, and support the delivery of workshops to help prepare participants for their accreditation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Culturally sensitive support to participants during training, pre-accreditation, and accreditation processes
  • Supporting participants to achieve best training outcomes
  • Effective communication and relationship building with participants
  • Delivering one day workshops to prepare participants for accreditation

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Essential: Be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person
  • Desirable: Comprehensive understanding of historical and contemporary issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and families
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and communities
