
Park Conservation Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Officer to join our team in Mundamia. As a Field Officer, you will play a vital role in the maintenance and improvement of park assets within our parks and reserves.
The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. They will also possess a current Australian Class C Drivers licence or equivalent, and be able to drive 4wd vehicles.
This is a physically active role that requires candidates to be fit and enjoy working outdoors as part of a team. We offer a supportive and inclusive work environment, along with opportunities for learning and development.
About the RoleAs a Field Officer, you will assist with a diverse range of activities, including pest and weed control, routine maintenance, construction and installation of new assets and conservation works. You will operate and maintain plant and equipment, participate in fire management activities, respond to visitor enquiries, and assist with compliance activities as required.
You will be guided by senior field staff in your day-to-day work and will have the opportunity to develop your skills and qualifications further.
Essential Requirements- Current Australian Class C Drivers licence or equivalent, and ability to drive 4wd vehicles.
- Ability to obtain and use MR Licence where appropriate.
- Demonstrated ability and experience to carry out all duties safely, and ability to obtain relevant SafeWork NSW certification to appropriately operate and maintain a range of plant and equipment.
- Certification, or ability to obtain certification within the probationary period, in operating a chainsaw to crosscut or basic tree felling standard; ability to operate two-way radio.
