About the Role

As a senior leader, you will spearhead our strategic initiatives to foster an integrated and highly impactful approach to communications, fundraising, education, and training priorities.

This role will ensure that our partnerships and growth agenda supports and delivers on our vision to create a more just and inclusive society.

You will oversee our strategic development goals, ensuring we maximize our impact and deliver on our vision by increasing our capability and financial sustainability in line with our strategic direction.

You will report to the CEO and deputise as necessary. You will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and work collaboratively to achieve our strategic and operational objectives.

  • Increase brand recognition in the community and with current and potential funders and supporters
  • Create opportunities for increased exposure and new business through strategic partnerships, government-funded programs, services or commercial fee-for-service opportunities
  • Provide effective leadership, guidance, supervision, and support to team members
  • Create and implement opportunities for us to work towards our vision and mission with stakeholders

About You:

We are looking for a person who can think strategically, oversee diverse work areas, effectively lead staff, build and maintain positive relationships with all staff and stakeholders.

  • Highly developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and coordination skills, prioritising workload and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing a multi-program team and building a positive workplace culture

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Knowledge of and personal commitment to gender equity and intersectional practice
  • Qualification in a relevant discipline OR equivalent relevant work experience
  • Demonstrate experience in business development and income generation, preferably in the not-for-profit sector
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills and experience leading various programs requiring day-to-day operation support and strategic leadership
  • High-level computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems

Job Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement strategies to increase brand recognition

- Negotiate supplier arrangements and training procurement listings

- Support the training team to curate quality training products

- Oversee area budgets and performance monitoring

- Ensure policies, processes, and systems are in place to meet contract, budget, and compliance requirements

Requirements:

- Ability to think strategically and lead a diverse team

- Excellent communication and organisational skills

- Demonstrated leadership experience in a similar role

- Relevant qualification or equivalent experience
