Job Overview

A seasoned expert is sought to administer and maintain workstations, design virtual desktop infrastructure solutions, and provide high-level support for performance and security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement security best practices, ensure regulatory compliance, deploy patches, enforce endpoint security policies, and stay updated on industry trends to address vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with clients to assess VDI needs, implement and configure VMware Horizon View, and ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Monitor VDI for performance, troubleshoot virtualization issues, and perform capacity planning.
  • Maintain workstation configuration documents and provide training and knowledge transfer.
  • Knowledge of App Volumes, Dynamic Environment Manager, Horizon TrueSSO, and Unified Access Gateways is essential.
  • Build relationships, understand evolving IT needs, and propose innovative solutions.
  • Configure and provision endpoints (computers, mobile devices, and IoT), ensure alignment with standards, and collaborate with IT Support to resolve endpoint issues.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience with Horizon virtual desktops; working understanding of end-user device management technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of VMware Horizon View, vSphere, VMware Cloud on AWS; advanced experience with Windows desktop OS; knowledge of AWS services.
  • Solid knowledge of automated provisioning of end-user devices; excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; strong communication for client interactions.
  • Knowledge of storage technologies (SAN, NAS) and networking concepts.
