Senior Estimator Position

A highly respected construction company is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to work on diverse projects across sectors including Education, Health, Commercial, and Government.

  • The ideal candidate will manage the tender process from start to finish.
  • Responsibilities include take-offs and negotiating with subcontractors, receiving support from directors of the business, developing relationships with clients and key stakeholders, complete cost evaluations and pricing analysis of quotes, consider and cost preliminary requirements for project delivery, develop project budgets, cost models, and bid proposals, suggesting and assessing cost-saving / VE options, collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to align on scope and costs, monitor market conditions and integrate insights into cost forecasting, complete peer reviews of tender estimates, mentor junior estimators and improve estimating tools and processes.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • 8+ years industry experience, ideally in the commercial space, with a strong understanding of current rates in the commercial environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Excellent eye for detail with take-offs etc.
  • Prior experience working on Tenders over $5 mil.
  • Proven relevant experience working for a Tier 1,2 or 3 Builder or a large fit out contractor.
  • Local experience is required for this role.
