Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Senior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Canberra. As a key member of our Cost Management division, you will be responsible for delivering MEP services on various projects, including Defence, Health, and Commercial.

  • Lead the team to deliver MEP services from feasibility cost planning to agreement of final account.
  • Manage and develop the team to deliver MEP services.
  • Lead MEP bid opportunities.
  • Work with our Director to grow MEP cost management opportunities.
  • Assist with feasibility studies and write procurement reports.
  • Estimate and cost plan, including producing and presenting the final cost plan to clients.
  • Deal effectively with post-contract cost variances and change control processes.

Requirements:

  • A recognised degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Engineering is required.
  • MRICS/AIQS accreditation or equivalent is desired.
  • Relevant work experience, preferably in a consultancy environment.
  • Excellent understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing.
  • Experience in the cost management sector.
  • Proficient in the use of software solutions such as CostX.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Team player with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, with excellent report writing skills.
  • Highly motivated and driven, with a passion for delivering results and working independently.
  • Understanding of sustainable design principles.
