Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Database Engineer to join our team at Jenny Barbour IT & Project Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and running Database Services for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver Database Services for our clients, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
  • Operate and manage Cloud Database Services, including monitoring, maintenance, and support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of Database Services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve Database Services processes and procedures.
  • Provide technical consultancy and input to relevant projects and initiatives.
  • Assist in asset lifecycle management, including planning, hardware inventories, certificates, licenses, and CMDB.
  • Work across functional teams to provide capability and support for related technologies.
Requirements
  • Working understanding and knowledge of IT infrastructure, platforms, networks, and application architectures/platforms.
  • Current and pragmatic technical knowledge of key market drivers, industry players, and latest developments within competitive markets as related to Database & Cloud Services technologies.
  • Proven operational experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure PostgresSQL, AWS, GCP, or Azure MySQL, Oracle RAC aware or Exadata databases.
  • Excellent management of high-volume change management requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of IT security principles.
