Role Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cloud Architect to lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions using AWS services.

Job Description:

As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Node.js and React.js applications. You will also utilize AWS cloud services to architect, deploy, and manage scalable and fault-tolerant applications.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop Node.js and React.js applications ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
  • Utilize AWS cloud services to architect, deploy, and manage scalable and fault-tolerant applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, and turn them into technical solutions.
  • Build containerized microservices using Docker and manage them on AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS).
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Set up and maintain the alerting and monitoring stack on Sumo Logic/Dynatrace to ensure real-time visibility into the application's health and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, both independently and in a team setting.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proven hands-on experience as a Senior Software Engineer, with a strong background in Node.js and React.js development.
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing cloud-based solutions using AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, etc.).
  • Solid knowledge of containerization with Docker and hands-on experience with managing containerized services on ECS.
  • Proficiency in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as Sumo Logic or Dynatrace to ensure high application availability and performance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to analyze and optimize code for performance and efficiency.
  • Experience working on large-scale, distributed systems and understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Continuous learner with a proactive approach to staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
Estimated Salary:

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
