About the Role

The Aboriginal Areas Protection Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager - Client Services to join our team. As a key member of our Client Services team, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to ensure the effective provision of services to the Authority, its Board, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and overall supervision of the Client Services team to ensure the effective provision of services.
  • Provide expert advice and service in relation to Aboriginal sacred site information and management processes, in accordance with the Northern Territory Aboriginal Sacred Sites Act.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of relevant areas of the law and of relevant practices and procedures.
  • Maintain the highest standards of data integrity and ensure that statutory obligations and timeframes are met.
  • Implement an ongoing program of continuous improvement for systems and processes and client engagement.
  • Engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including Aboriginal Land Councils, government agencies, landowners, and developers of public and private infrastructure.
Selection Criteria
  • Tertiary qualifications in law, environment, management, engineering, resource management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated high-level experience working within a land, environment, or other relevant regulatory framework.
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of complex client services with an emphasis on achieving high service standards.
  • Proven experience in managing a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Substantial experience in negotiating effectively and communicating in a professional manner.
  • Proven experience in managing projects and workload in order to meet requirements and deadlines, and to work as part of a team.
