Principal Mining Consultant Role

We are seeking an experienced consultant to join our Underground team in Melbourne.

Mining technical services provider, comprising professionals specializing in geology, mining engineering (Surface and Underground), geotechnical engineering, mine ventilation, and operational management.

The ideal candidate will deliver top-tier consulting services, collaborate with international experts, and lead teams to ensure projects are executed with excellence, within timeframes, and on schedule.

The role involves:

  • Providing expert technical advice and oversight
  • Conducting mining studies (Scoping, Pre-feasibility & Feasibility)
  • Authoring and peer-reviewing technical reports
  • Mentoring staff and overseeing project contractors
  • Driving business improvements and supporting business development activities
  • Preparing proposals and contracts
  • Leading and managing multi-disciplinary project teams, working with professionals to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget

Key requirements include:

  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in the mining industry
  • Proficiency in Mine Planning software
  • Experience in managing technical projects and stakeholders to deliver projects
  • Proven track record in client relationship building and networking
  • Ability to work independently or within teams
  • Strong financial management skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities
