Senior Geological Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Geological Specialist to join our global geosciences team. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with other experts to deliver high-quality solutions and results to clients.

The purpose of this role is to assist clients gain greater insight into their project geology and enhance their orebody knowledge through the application of technical expertise and solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the geosciences team and support other AMC service lines.
  • Geological modelling, Mineral Resource estimation and reporting, geostatistical analysis, variography, QA/QC data analysis.
  • Technical reviews and audits of client projects, preparation of proposals and reports.
  • Manage project schedules and identify opportunities for growth and development.
Requirements
  • A degree in Geology with post-graduate qualifications well regarded.
  • A minimum of 8 years of practical experience relevant to the responsibilities listed above.
  • Membership to a recognized professional organization.
  • A valid drivers license and ability to travel internationally as required.
  • Fluent in English – spoken and written.
Preferred Skills
  • Practical operational/exploration/consulting experience and exposure to working on a wide range of commodities.
  • Mining and geostatistical software proficiency with preference for Datamine, Leapfrog, Isatis, Supervisor and Micromine.
  • Ability to apply a range of estimation methods (linear and non-linear) as appropriate to the styles of mineralization, commodities and mining methods.
