Senior Financial Accountant Opportunity

Job Summary:

Our dynamic finance team is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join us in Broadbeach, QLD. In this pivotal role, you will lead and support a small finance team, championing collaboration and continuous improvement.

This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent stakeholder engagement abilities, and advanced time management skills.

The ideal candidate will be CPA or CA qualified (highly desirable but not essential), degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce, with 3+ years' experience in a similar finance role or 5+ years' proven industry experience.

  • Lead and support a small finance team, championing collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Accurately manage revenue invoicing, general journal entries, and intercompany transactions
  • Ensure timely closing of monthly financial periods and deliver Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports
  • Tackle reconciliations with finesse from fixed assets to intercompany loans
  • Manage compliance matters including BAS lodgement, payroll, superannuation, and audit support
  • Strengthen internal controls and contribute to process and system enhancements
  • Build strong relationships with offshore teams, suppliers, auditors, and tax consultants
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure our financial engine runs like clockwork
Key Requirements:

Strong communication skills, excellent stakeholder engagement, and the ability to juggle deadlines, priorities, and maintain a cool head are must-haves for this role.

  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs a must)
  • Confident working across reporting systems and adaptable to evolving tech
  • Solid understanding of financial frameworks and processes
