Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial accounting services and ensuring compliance with group policies.

  • You will be responsible for performing financial accounting tasks such as journal preparation, month-end general ledger close, balance sheet reconciliations, basic management reporting, and tax support.
  • You will deliver monthly reports to business partners, including balance sheets, reconciliation summaries, and P&L analysis.
  • You will prepare reporting packs for The Star Gold Coast and property business units as required.
  • You will investigate and resolve transactional issues, such as misallocations, late adjustments, and inter-company mismatches.
  • You will perform analysis of profit and loss statements to assist with month-end processing.
  • You will investigate and resolve internal accounting process or control issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • High-level numeracy and reconciliation skills, with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to independently problem-solve.
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting and CA/CPA qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in a financial accounting role for 5 years or more.
