Civil Engineer Role

Niaron Ltd. is a multi-disciplinary civil engineering and utilities contractor operating nationwide in the public and private sector.

We have several long-standing clients providing repeat business and we have experienced significant growth in the past few years.

This is an exciting opportunity for a site engineer or exceptional graduate engineer ready to take the next step while joining a dynamic business.

The Role:

The Civil Engineer role will be based on one of our sites in the Midwest Region.

The Civil Engineer will assist our Site Engineer and Project Manager with all aspects of their role, including management of health, safety, environment, and quality procedures.

The role involves an initial assessment of assigned tasks, planning the works with the site team, and assisting with scheduling crews and construction of the works.

  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements for every site operation.
  • Undertake tasks relating to safety, setting out, and recording of resources.
  • Review project drawings and specifications for all works being delivered by our in-house teams.
  • Assist with the sustainability procurement policy of the business.
  • Work with sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Deal effectively with challenges within the site crews.
  • Assist site personnel and upward liaison with the Project Manager.
  • Understand the construction sequence as works advance.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Good knowledge of HSEQ requirements.
  • Ability to interpret site information such as drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to communicate with peers both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Previous experience of civil engineering or utilities business.
  • Enjoyment of working in the outdoor environment.
  • Minimum 1 year's experience in a site role.
  • Required:
    Safepass
    Manual Handling
    Full Clean Driving licence
  • Training required but not essential:
    Sign, Lighting & Guarding at Roadworks.
    Location of Underground Services.
